Tribute to Ali Saleh & Amina

We started TheirSujood as a tribute to our late great grandfather, Ali Saleh, and late great grandmother, Amina. 

Our great grandfather had dementia, which meant that he forgot his family, friends and sometimes even his own self. But he never forgot Allah. When we would go to see him, he would always emphasise on salaah. He'd put his hands on our heads and asked if we had prayed that day. We could see he was a true friend of Allah. Even on his deathbed, he refused to speak except when we talked to him about Allah, or when we did talqeen of Yaseen. He would put his finger up in Shahadah and try to pray with us. It has been 5 years of his passing, but his Noor and his words of wisdom never left our side. 

The same with my great grandmother, Amina. We would always see her in a smiling state, mashallah. Her face would be lit up with Noor, and she always made sure everyone at her house were happy and comfortable. The last phone call we had with her and the last time we heard her voice, she asked us 'please ask Allah to make my legs work again'.

TheirSujood will never just be another business out there. It's a Sadaqah Jaariyah for my great grandparents and for everyone who has passed. Because for every prayer mat, every tasbeeh, every Quran purchased and every smile gained, they (and you) will earn countless reward, inshaAllah.
